The Odessa Clinic is implementing a revised process for administering sleep testing services to its patients. Effective immediately, all patients evaluated for sleep-related concerns will be referred to an at‑home sleep study program of their choice. The two approved program options are Lincare and WatchPat.

At‑Home Sleep Study Process

Upon referral, patients will be contacted directly by the selected at‑home sleep study provider. Each provider will explain the testing procedure and arrange delivery of the appropriate device:

  • Lincare: Supplies a chest‑worn monitoring device.
  • WatchPat: Provides a wrist‑worn device that requires the patient to use a compatible smartphone and install an accompanying application.

After the at‑home study is completed, the clinic will receive the interpreted results within five business days. A follow‑up appointment will then be scheduled for the patient to review the findings with an Odessa Clinic provider.

Device Return Requirements

  • Lincare: Patients are required to return the device once the study is complete.
  • WatchPat: Device return is not required; patients may retain the device.

Support and Financial Considerations

Both Lincare and WatchPat offer 24‑hour technical support for device setup, troubleshooting, and other concerns.

If a patient’s insurance does not cover the study, WatchPat offers a self‑pay rate of $250.

Should an in‑center sleep study be clinically indicated, Lincare will provide the service at one of its facilities located in Moses Lake or Spokane. The Odessa Clinic will receive the interpreted results and review them with the patient accordingly.

Post‑Study CPAP Equipment Selection

Following the review of either the at‑home or in‑center study results, patients may select their preferred durable medical equipment (DME) provider for CPAP therapy. Available options include Lincare and Norco.
